Join Us in a warm-up of celebrating “World Basketball Day: December 21” – Uniting the World through Basketball!
December 21 marks the historic day when basketball was first played. Recently, the United Nations designated December 21 as "World Basketball Day," following the FIBA World Cup's opening ceremony on August 25, 2023. This commemorative day celebrates the power of basketball to transcend borders, connect people worldwide, and inspire positive societal change. This epoch-making event gave basketball the berth of the first-ever team sport that has the officail UN day, with recognition of the remarkable social impact basketball can have across the globe.
Our seminar will explore how we can unify the power of basketball and seek for ways to share its transformative value with a broader audience. Participants will receive a special video message from Professor David Hollander, the author of "How Basketball Can Save the World", who significantly contributed to the foundation of the adoption of World Basketball Day. We will also feature esteemed guest speakers from global basketball community, who will be discussing basketball's influence, impact, and social mission.
This event offers an opportunity to engage in inspiring dialogues and share ideas with like-minded individuals who believe in the power of basketball and sport to make a difference.
We invite everyone who are the power-of-sport believers to join us in fostering change together for a better future.
